An application to establish the Sutton Church of England Secondary School, a new 11-19 co-educational school, will be submitted to the Department for Education in the spring 2018. We are waiting for new information to be published by the Department about the application process and timescales.

The school is being proposed by the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education (SDBE) multi-academy trust to help meet the growing need for additional high quality secondary places in the Sutton area and also to give families additional choice of a high quality education with Christian values and strong pastoral care for their children.

If you have not already registered your support you can still help make this happen!  The plans for Sutton Church of England Secondary School will only become a reality with the support of the community. In our application to the Department for Education, we need to demonstrate the level of support for the school, particularly of parents and carers.

If you are a parent of a child for whom you would consider Sutton Church of England Secondary School, please register your support by completing the form below by Friday 26th October 2018.

If you do not have a child who will attend secondary school in the future but support this proposed school, please email us at

Thank you – your support will help make our vision for Sutton Church of England Secondary School a reality.
